Treatment of Acute Anterior Cruciate Ligament Tear in a Patient with Unicompartmental Knee Prosthesis
نویسندگان
چکیده
Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is among the most important ligaments in medial unicompartmental knee replacement (UKR) indication and postoperative survival. There no consensus regarding treatment options of acute ACL rupture after UKR. The debate whether total or reconstruction should be performed if patient has an instability complaint still open. In this case report, we aimed to report surgical technique clinical outcomes a follow-up period 24 months for 50-year-old woman who underwent arthroscopic due traumatic that developed 32 UKR investigate feasibility had undergone Also discuss on protheses.

متن کاملThe anterior cruciate ligament-deficient knee and unicompartmental arthritis.
Treatment of medial and lateral compartment arthritis in the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL)-deficient knee remains a topic of debate among orthopedic surgeons. This article discusses the treatment options for the ACL-deficient knee with unicompartmental arthritis and provides a rationale for clinical decision making in this difficult group of patients. Unicondylar knee arthroplasty (UKA) is a...
متن کاملCombined unicompartmental knee arthroplasty and anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction in knees with osteoarthritis and deficient anterior cruciate ligament
BACKGROUND Relative young and more active patients with osteoarthritis (OA) of the isolated medial femorotibial compartment in conjunction with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) deficiency are difficult to treat. The aim of this study was to explore the early clinical outcomes of combined Oxford unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) and ACL reconstruction for the patients presenting ACL defic...
متن کاملEffect of Reconstructive Surgery and Functional Brace Treatments on Kinesthesia in Patients with Acute Anterior Cruciate Ligament Tear
Objective: Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear is one of the most common knee injuries. Kinesthesia after ACL tear is impaired. In this study, using hybrid generalized estimation equations (GEE) can be efficient method in analyzing correlated data, we try to evaluate the effects of reconstruction surgery and functional brace with controlled confounding factors in improving the patients’ kines...
